“What a gem of a place – whales and wine! The whale cruise was awesome (albatross and dolphins as well) and had fun time with Taffy sampling his interesting varietals!”

We used Canterbury Trails in connection with our recent trip to New Zealand. We couldn’t be more pleased with them. They were outstanding: creative, adaptable, knowledgeable, experienced, well-connected and informative. Irene and Chris provided us with a most enjoyable and remarkable tour of Christchurch, the West Coast of New Zealand, the wineries, and unique and interesting sites. They demonstrated outstanding knowledge of both tourist attractions, areas of interest, good dinning opportunities, and stores with fairly priced find New Zealand products and craft items. Both Irene and Chris are charming people, who have travelled widely themselves, and were well read, which enhanced conversation as we moved from place to place. Irene, in particular, went well beyond the call of duty when we left a camera in the van when she dropped us at the airport. She came back to the airport, tried to page us and when that failed, arranged to have Air New Zealand deliver the camera to us at the gate. Without the camera, we would have lost the numerous pictures we took and our memories of New Zealand and the other places we visited would have been materially diminished.
